Why Mawlawi
Mawlawi is a magazine about Kurdish culture, past and present. We publish writing and visual work that gives Kurdish voices room and makes these stories easier to find and read.
The magazine takes its name from Mawlawi, the Kurdish poet and scholar. His work is one part of a much wider cultural record we hope to make more visible.
